About Us
Inspired by the song by John Fogerty and later covered by Tina Turner, "Proud Mary" reflects the themes of change and resilience. It has always been one of my go-to karaoke songs, describing a journey on the river, capturing the contrast between the peaceful life on the water and the struggles faced by those who leave home in search of better opportunities. The lyrics convey a sense of moving forward and embracing new experiences. Additionally, my last name, DiLeo means "The Lion" in Italian and lions represent strength and courage. They also exist in social units that rely on cooperation and deep relationships, called Prides. Proud Mary Consulting embodies these values of pride and integrity, embracing change, and cooperation and collaboration.
Rachel DiLeo, Founder
Rachel DiLeo is a seasoned professional with a rich background in organizational development, strategic planning, partnership development, and communications. Holding a Master of Science in Organizational Development, she has dedicated her career to fostering organizational growth, steering complex change initiatives, and effectively managing crisis communications. A professionally trained dancer with two decades of work experience inside one of the largest dance organizations in the DC Metro region, Rachel believes that just as dancers transition from one movement to another, when organizations navigate through transitions with agility and adaptability they ensure smooth and harmonious flow toward their goals.
